So, I met this guy; We don't know how each other looks; Nor, have we exchanged pictures. This Saturday we're meeting at a public place in my town. Every time we talk on the phone he says, " I hope you don't be disappointed." It's like I don't care how he looks; Nor is it important to me right now. You can definitely parlay a history degree into a fundraising or marketing/PR career. If I call the police on a neighbor, are the police allowed to let the neighbor know who called on them?

I called about an abandoned car in front of my house, been there for 2 weeks windows down. It has rained many days. I was worried about all the water and stuff sitting in it attracting bugs and who knows what else. I talked to neighbors and they told me they knew who car it was and that is all they would say to me. So 2 weeks of it sitting there I called the police and asked if there was an abandonment law. They never really answered the question, just stated they would come look at and talk to neighbors and tag the car so if not moved in 2 days they will tow it. Well they talked to neighbors, then came directly over to my home! Telling me they talked to neighbors and they claimed they told us that the key in it broke off and that they were gonna move it. I told the police, why couldn't they have called me to tell me this, that you are endangering my family coming over to my house to tell me this, in front of neighbors. The police was like smirking about (make me wonder if friends with the people, its a really small town) What if I was reporting something really serious? btw yes the neighbors knew who it was since they where standing outside when police came to my house. I used to abuse excedrin, what is going to happen to me?

I'm a 19 year old female. Through most of my teenage years I had horribly self destructive patterns. I just didn't care. At one point I had a bottle of excedrin migraine relief pills. I would take 3 or four of them to stay awake during the day, and to speed. If I'm remembering correctly I would sometimes take one more when I started to crash. I did this until the whole bottle was gone. Of course during withdraw I experienced a horrid migraine, it lasted two days. I've read taking to much excedrin can cause serious damage to your liver. Should I become a R.D. or go into an alternative medicine profession?

I am in my early twenties, doing restaurant work as a baker. I am unfulfilled because I have a bachelor's degree in science and have had an interest in nutrition since high school. I LOVE cooking and baking and went to culinary school for this, but I want to help people in another way, still involving food. I believe in the saying, "Let food by thy medicine, thy medicine shall be thy food." The problem is I see dietitians sometimes as food gurus giving clients a list of dos and don'ts, and honestly I don't agree with this. I see the client as a whole, who may come to a dietician for a weight, or food-related problem, but who would actually benefit more from a homeopathic, exercise, eastern medicine, or alternative medicine advice. From research I have been doing, it seems hard to be a credible practitioner in these fields, without a valid medical degree in Western science. But, I cannot se myself as a Western doctor, at the same time I cannot see myself just as a R.D., without extensive medical knowledge of the human body. I guess I am torn between Eastern and Western medicine, but ultimately, I want to be a preventative focused doctor, rather than a reactionary doctor if that makes sense. I know that I am a good listener, and can deal with many types of people, and I have a great interest in science, but I am truly a chef and musician at heart. I didn't mean to throw that curveball in there, but maybe now you can understand me a bit better. I don't like much working for a boss, as I see myself as an entrepreneur and leader. How would I ever get through a traditional medical school like this? Okay so i have played basketball for about 3 years, and ok. I have played on a travel team for 2 years and school for 3 years. I dont want to play in high school, but my mother is forcing me. The mother of the child has another child from a another man but does not have custody of this child, she lost custody of this one when it was born. My fiance had emergency custody of his daughter for the first 3 months of her life and he was attempting to get full custody but the judge ruling over the case was raised by a single mother and therefore partial to the mothers having custody. He has his daughter almost every day of every month but still has to pay child support. On the rare occasions that she is with her mother, she doesn't have a room to sleep in...is constantly moved from place to place because the mother doesn't have a stable home since the mother has a new fiance every month...is put in the company of men that do drugs....lives in filthy houses....and the mother never has money for food because she spends all the child support on herself to get her hair and nails done and get alcohol. He wants what is best for her but every effort he has made to get custody has been more and more disappointing and my fiance is getting a little discouraged even though he continues to try. the mother continues to threaten that she will not let him have his weekends and she threatens to take the child completely away and call police if he tries to see his daughter if he continues to try to take custody. I really want to get this out of my mind, it's just bringing me down. I've known for a few years now that my grandparents aren't perfect, but I didn't see this coming. when I was convicted 4 yrs ago I was originally charged with 3 charges..1- endangering the welfare of an incompetant(for having a naked picture of my ex girlfriend on my phone, she was 1 1/2yrs younger than me and we dated for 2yrs, her parents even tried to get us to marry each other)..2-breaking and entering(to my own house) and contributing to the dilenquency of a minor-alcohol (i was 18 at the time)...3-criminal mischeif 1st degree(for throwing 1 beer bottle at a church sign outside of a party, I was 1 of about 10 ppl throwing stuff at the sign and I only threw one bottle)...when I was arrested I was denied the right to have an attorney present or make my phone call, the police threatened me and told me to say what they wanted me to say or they said I would have to sit in jail for 3 days until my hearing and they would not take it easy on me at all, so obviously as a scared 18 yr old I did what they told me and was in and out of court every month for 15 months bc they kept postponing it everytime I went...then after 15 months my public defender told me to just go ahead and plead guilty to all 3 charges and 2 of them would get dropped and I would only take the lesser of the 3 and get MAX 2 yrs probation and that's it, so I did and the judge gave me 5 yrs probation and a felony!!! Keep in mind this was my first offense EVER and it has ruined my whole life, now I'm getting a lawyer to sue them because I am being told that this is ridiculous and an outrage that they could not have even charged me with 2 of the charges at all and criminal mischeif is a joke for throwing 1 bottle a a sign...so I'm curious as to what another attorney might think about all this?..please be honest!

Weird sleep pattern dangers?

I used to abuse excedrin migraine pills, how will this effect me now?

Will a sea turtle bother me while im kayaking? (please read)?

My favorite place to kayak is through the tight, winding channels of the ocean that are extremely shallow (Around a foot deep) and recently I have been seeing a lot of sea turtles. Big ones too, their shells about 2 feet wide or a bit more. Anyway, since kayaking requires a paddle to cut through the water, i'm worried that i will hit one of the turtles with my paddle and i will either scare it or it may try to bite me. What causes abdominal bleeding/bloody stools?

Apparently my dad has been having abdominal/rectal bleeding and bloody stools for weeks paired with severe pain in his kidney area, and hadn't so much as called his doctor. Yesterday, he woke up at 3am in severe pain, went to the bathroom and was just gushing blood. He went to the hospital, but the doctors still have no idea what's wrong, even though they have run some tests. He has multiple sclerosis, and has for years, but somehow I doubt this is related. He only takes one prescription, a medication to treat the MS called copaxone, but no other prescription, otc or homeopathic medications. I looked up copaxone yesterday, and his abdominal problems are no where in known side effects (and I read pages and pages of information on this drug). Since his doctors don't seem to know anything, does anyone else know of possible conditions that might cause that? It really worries me that he's having problems in his GI tract. I have Crohns disease, and I know what it's like to have extrme pain in there (horrifying) and blood coming out both ends. I wouldn't imagine he has Crohns, but him having the same kind of pain and bleeding paired with the pain from his MS, that's gotta be horrible. Any ideas? More to ease my mind than try and play doctor to diagnose him.

we rescued a pit/lab mix in Tucson 1 year and 2 months ago. He had no indication of any health problems but on March 10th of 2011 he had a seizure which has never happened before while with us then he had 2 seizures within a 7 hour period on March 15th we took him to a vet and spent 700 dollars trying to figure out what is wrong with him. so at the end of the school year, we took finals and stuff. and for math and science there are regents (for the classes i take). i told my mom about the regular final results i got. Actually its pretty easy, Thats just an excuse for lazy people not to go out and try. If i can get a job, then everyone else can to. You cant live off mommy and daddy forever.

Okay So I am actually an immigrant, I moved to America from Egypt when I was around 15, I was born in a Christian family, now I am just an Agnostic, but the reason my family came here is causes there were lots of religious extremism and oppression in my home country. I am now 26 and I work as aeronautics engineers. Anyways so I am a very liberal person, I am pro-choice, pro gay marriage (I am straight but I support homosexuals and I believe homosexuality is part of live and I treat homosexuals as my sisters and brothers), very feminist all that good democratic stuff and I am really the person who values democracy especially the American one because like I said I came from a country where I got my butt kicked and I had no freedoms. I live in Southern California and for some reason most of the people around me are very conservative, they are those type of religious (Christian) conservatives that honestly make me they are very extremist, they want schools to teach religion and God, they hate homosexuals and think they are not normal people, they are anti women’s reproductive rights, they even hate Obama ( I personally love Obama and Hillary Clinton too , that man is my hero, He killed Bin laden and made America safer, I can’t believe after all that some people still hate him). Is it my area since I live close to the south mostly conservative? Are there any Liberals left in this country actually? If I move north will I find more liberals? I hope I didn’t offend anyone. Ok so I went to Pahrump to visit my best friend and I went there on the 11th of this month and came back on the 14. Every night I was there, except Monday night, we had sex and one of the nights we had oral sex. My best friend recently told me that she cuts. She uses a scissors on her wrist but swore to me that she only cuts deep enough to break the skin. I've seen her "marks" and they usually seem to disappear after a few days. Is this really endangering her life? How did Spotted Hyenas get such a bad stereotype?

I know people see them as cowardly scavengers but lions actually scavenge off of them more than they scavenge off of lions so how did people get that idea about them. I also know it has something to do with the way they kill, like how lions kill with mostly (not alwyas) swift bite to the neck where as hyenas kill by eating their prey alive. I know African Wild Dogs suffered the same stereotype as hyenas in the past and they were persecuted for it until they became endangered so how come spotted hyenas aren't endangered? Will doing weights make you gain weight?

i started last week trying to start a more healthy lifestyle starting over this summer. i was going to lead a more healthy diet (nothing low carbs or anything, just doing the right serving sizes and the right amounts of the right food groups & so far i've stuck to it), doing cardio, and doing some weight lifting. i figured after the first week i'd lose at least 1-2 pounds. but instead i gained 3. should i be disappointed, or is this just muscle from the weights? i mean i haven't done any living since basketball season, and that was about 5 months ago.

i am 16 and have had asthma my entire life but this year it is killing me. You need to get a REAL VET to look at your mare, and do a proper blood test, so you can find out what is REALLY GOING ON, and stop believing this nonsense you've been told. One other note: That flu/rhino vaccine could NOT have caused your mare's problem, unless the quality of the vaccine itself was compromised in some way. It sounds to me like she's had an allergic reaction to something, and this has caused her breathing issues. Either that, or she has had a long standing, chronic infection of some sort- one which is aggravated by any type of stress or work. Either way, she needs HELP, and from a REAL VET, not a quack like this nutcase woman you know.

What do I do when my bestfriend is endangering her life?

Okay so my friend who is 15 years old met some 20 year old guy on an app for itouch. She got really serious with him and has been in a relationship with him for months. They text and talk on the phone all the time and actually plan on meeting in person soon and getting married when she turns 18. She is planning on meeting him in person too this christmas. Me and another one of her friends think this is EXTREMELY stupid and dangerous. She doesn't realize how he controls her and thinks he's just trying to protect her but in reality he's just bossing her around. He makes her cry all the time because he ignores her for days if she doen't do what he says(not have friends over on certain days, not wear a certain pair of pants because he thinks they are too short). I think he's acting more like a father rather than a boyfriend. I hate the idea of her meeting him and thinking he wont hurt her. He might rape her and kill her!
